INFORMATION NOTICE UNDER THE LAW ON THE PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA
At PLASTI-MED, the security of your personal data is one of our top priorities. In accordance with the Law on the Protection of Personal Data (PPD), which was enacted to safeguard individuals’ fundamental rights and freedoms regarding the processing of personal data, we are pleased to share this information notice with you about how we process your personal data.
DEFINITION OF PERSONAL DATA
According to LPPD personal data refers to any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. The processing of personal data refers to all operations performed on data, whether fully or partially automated or non-automated as part of any data recording system. These operations include collecting, recording, storing, preserving, altering, rearranging, disclosing, transferring, taking over, making available, classifying, or preventing the use of data.
PURPOSES OF PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA
Within the framework of our legal obligations under PPD and other legislation, and with the necessary measures taken to protect confidentiality, your personal and non-personal data (related to purchases, communication, etc.) are processed by PLASTI-MED for the following purposes:
- To ensure uninterrupted use of our products and services,
- To improve our product variety based on collected information and align it with your preferences,
- To carry out the necessary internal operational activities,
- To offer products and services that match our customers’ consumption and purchasing motivations, in collaboration with relevant departments and business partners,
- To secure the rights of individuals,
- To support the decision-making and implementation of our commercial strategies,
- To ensure the legal safety of the individuals with whom we have business relationships and of our company itself.
Your personal data is processed and stored either with your explicit consent or, in cases defined under Article 5/2 of the PPD and other applicable legal regulations, by us as the Data Controller, within the purposes and scope outlined in this Information Notice.
TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA
Your collected personal data may be transferred for the following purposes:
- To perform necessary tasks by our business units to offer you PLASTI-MED products and services,
- To customize and suggest PLASTI-MED’s products and services according to your preferences, usage habits, and needs,
- To ensure the legal and commercial safety of PLASTI-MED and related third parties (e.g., administrative operations, physical security and supervision of PLASTI-MED premises, evaluations of business partners/customers/suppliers, legal compliance, audits, financial operations),
- To define and implement PLASTI-MED’s commercial and business strategies,
- To implement PLASTI-MED’s human resources policies.
This data may be shared with our business partners, suppliers, legally authorized public institutions, and private individuals under the conditions and purposes specified in Articles 8 and 9 of the PPD.
RIGHTS OF THE PERSONAL DATA OWNER
As the data subject, you may submit requests to PLASTI-MED to exercise your rights. These include:
- Knowing whether personal data is being processed,
- Requesting information if personal data has been processed,
- Learning the purpose of processing and whether it is used in accordance with that purpose,
- Knowing the third parties to whom personal data is transferred domestically or abroad,
- Requesting correction if personal data is incomplete or incorrectly processed, and having those changes notified to third parties to whom the data was transferred,
- Requesting deletion or destruction of personal data if the legal grounds for its processing no longer exist, even if it was processed in compliance with the law, and requesting notification of such deletion to third parties,
- Objecting to the occurrence of a result against the data subject by analyzing the processed data exclusively through automated systems,
- Requesting compensation if the data subject suffers damage due to unlawful processing of personal data.
Even if personal data is processed in compliance with the law, it will be deleted, destroyed, or anonymized by the Data Controller, either automatically or upon the request of the data subject, when the reasons requiring processing no longer exist.
To exercise the above-mentioned rights, you may send your request, along with documents identifying your identity and your explanations regarding the right you wish to exercise, to the address below via registered mail or through other methods specified in the PPD:
